Honourable Mention at the Compasso d’Oro ADI award

We are proud to share that the In-Side collection, designed by Thomas Heatherwick, has received an Honourable Mention at the 29th edition of the Compasso d’Oro ADI award.

This comes as an important acknowledgement of the technological research Magis poured into this project, challenging the standard construction methods of outdoor furniture.

New Motta collection now available

Unmistakable expression of Jasper Morrison’s Super Normal design approach, the Motta collection brings together classic aesthetics and vibrant hues.

Motta spans from chairs and stools to low tables, allowing for a coherent dialogue across spaces. Seat and backrest of the chairs and stools come in recycled polypropylene, oak plywood or upholstered.

The vibrant colour palette features blue, green, red and brown.

Rooted in the future

Design is always a dialogue between what already exists and what is yet to come. Rooted in the Future embodies this idea: a vision of tomorrow that draws its strength from deep, solid foundations.

On the occasion of Milano Design Week 2026, the Magis showroom became the stage where this idea took shape through an installation that brought together past, present and future. Conceived as a landscape of vertical elements evoking architectural pillars, made of fabric in collaboration with Kvadrat, the installation hosts some of our most iconic objects, products that over time have defined the design language of Magis and that still represent its foundations today. This narrative takes on an even deeper meaning this year, as Magis celebrates its 50 anniversary. The icons are therefore not merely testimonies of the past, but living elements capable of supporting new visions.

Several new pieces also emerge, expressing a momentum towards the future while growing from a well-established design tradition. Like roots beneath the surface, the Magis legacy continues to nourish what comes next, allowing new forms and design objects to emerge, projects that look towards the future while remaining connected to their origin.

Rooted in the Future invites visitors to see design not as a fixed moment, but as a process in constant transformation: a fertile ground where memory and innovation intertwine, and where every new idea carries the strength of what came before.

ArchichefNight in Venice

On Tuesday, 3 February, we had the pleasure of taking part in ArchichefNight in Venice, a dinner event organised by Towant, dedicated to the dialogue between architecture, design and haute cuisine.

Five architecture studios stepped into the role of guest chefs, creating a unique experience that blended creative vision and culinary experimentation, all set within the informal and welcoming atmosphere of SirBaf restaurant.

The evening concluded with a lively exchange between designers and companies, followed by a final vote for the best dish of the night.
